Cheryl’s journey to becoming a public speaking trainer began in 1989 when she joined Toastmasters International. Her initial goal was to overcome her difficulties in speaking up during confrontations, but once she built her confidence, she found she enjoyed public speaking. She began winning awards for her speeches and accepted leadership roles, first within the club, then at the area level.
Her decades of classroom teaching experience make it easy for her to break complex topics into simpler, easier-to-digest chunks of information.

Brandy’s love for the stage made public speaking easy for her. She accepted her first lead roles in elementary school and performed before audiences of hundreds at her church.
However, she struggled with speaking one-on-one during confrontations and this led her to develop her skills in writing, which she found gave her the time and space required to process her thoughts and organize what she wanted to say.
She joined Toastmasters in February of 2023 and won her first Area-level International Speech competition in March of 2024.
